The Case
A client needed to reduce the cost of holding stock whilst at the same time improve its positioning with its competitors. Their product could be made of differing components depending on the clients requirements and the lead time for components could be anywhere from 3 to 12 weeks, however they did not want to keep a client waiting for more than 2 weeks. With limited knowledge of when or what type of orders would be placed but knowing that order placement was generally steady we developed a just in time delivery system to keep stock level not at zero but at a level which could deal with any order fluctuations.

The Case
A client offers to buy endowment policies that are no longer useful to their owners. They wanted a way to make their staff more productive. We took their pricing engine and utilised it in a web page so that members of the public and intermediaries could produce all of the offer documentation on line. In addition the engine was enhanced in such a way so that intermediaries who gave substantial repeat business could deliver the policy information in bulk format. By converting all of their enquiries to come via this new engine they can expect to save 35% of their staff overhead.

The Case
A client embarked on a project that soon became paper intensive with complicated forms and long reports. We enhanced an already existing system to handle the additional information and created an additional system to analyse the data and produce the reports. The final system analysed and queried the data in seconds compared to the hours that it would have taken manually. 10’s of filling cabinets became one additional computer, and the data collected by paper forms can now be entered directly by the mangers into the database, cutting down the cost of paper forms and deceasing data entry overheads.

The Case
A clients uses intermediaries for their business, these intermediaries were, on a regular basis, asking the liaison team to reproduce quotes for their clients, this was taking anywhere of up to 10 hours a week, the majority of these quotes did not convert into real business and whilst necessary were not best use of the staffs time. Taking their existing quote system we repackaged and simplified it so that intermediaries could produce their own quotes including a 35 page tailored report. Now our client, instead of spending 40 hours a month now spends just two hours a month.

The Case
A department at one of our clients needed a system to monitor its supplier effectiveness and rates, whilst at the same time help with the administration. We designed a system that monitored the suppliers at every stage of the supply process, and administered the stages producing documentation and reporting as required. The department head utilised the system to turn a cost centre into a profit centre by negotiating better rates with suppliers and decreasing the supply time.

A client needed a system to search a large database of candidates for jobs. Being a new company they had tight budget constraints. We designed a functional system to ease them through their initial growth period to a point when they could purchase a system that would take the business further. Our system cost 10% of the final system purchased yet it provided 70% of the clients needs.
